'sindikit Friday Performance Series!
| 'sindikit | hosted the first installment of its Friday Performance Series last night! we invited artist/curator Jaimes Mayhew (enginesofthefuture.com) to curate a performance in 'sindikit's Space A.
he selected the amazing Kristen Anchor, whose work spans experimental film, music, and audio/visual art, you know, the stuff that #artistswhokickass do! (kristen-anchor.com) in keeping with the pursuit of | 'sindikit | to support artwork that may be considered tangential or experimental in an artist's oeuvre, Jaimes knew that Kristen would be perfect.
Kristen's | 'sindikit | project was from her MAGIC MOVIE MACHINES series, a live visual and audio performance with modified projectors, found 16mm film, all matter of paint and industrial materials and dirt that manipulate the visual and audio experience over a period of 30 minutes. we're not going to even attempt to show you stills of the projected film, you'll just have to check out 'sindikit's vimeo link for documentation of Kristen's performance!
