Mark Fleuridor’s artwork is at the intersection of worlds--quilting, fashion, and craft. His work resides in the places in between those worlds. Using quilting tradition as a way to explore narrative, his work depicts his experiences of family, in Christianity, and as a person of Haitian descent. Domestic and religious spaces are conveyed by the found fabrics and textile designs he uses that speak to the Pattern & Decoration movement and as objects activated by performance.
